Center For Performing Arts.

Poway was incorporated in 1980 in an effort by the town fathers to preserve its rural flavor. So Poway is independent from San Diego while Rancho Bernardo and the other communities of the Poway Unified School District are part of the City of San Diego. Poway has about 51,000 residents.

Lake Poway

Poway’s nickname, “The City In The Country”, is a great description. Nestled in the boulder-strewn hills of Inland North County, there are a network of equestrian trails and easements that serve horse lovers. Poway has a distinct western feel, especially during the annual “Poway Days” celebration, when a professional rodeo comes to town.
